NB3 Junior Golf Tour


The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship (NB3 JGNC) has added a new pathway
to reach the National Championship which will be broadcast on Golf Channel.  The NB3 JGNC
is excited to announce the launch of the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Tour. 
 
This new tour will give junior golfers access to high quality tournaments throughout New
Mexico and surrounding states.  As part of a remarkably successful career, Notah Begay III
became a 4-time winner on the PGA Tour, led Stanford University to a National Championship
and represented his country on the US Walker Cup and US Presidents Cup teams. Notah
developed his skill at the Ladera Municipal Golf Course and played junior golf in his home state
of New Mexico.  
 
The Notah Begay III Junior Golf Tour will be open to boys and girls of all ages, kids can
participate in any of the six divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 13 & Under, Girls 16-18,
Girls 14-15 and Girls 13 & Under. Each local event will send its top performers to the New
Mexico Regional Championship at Twin Warriors Golf Club in Santa Ana Pueblo, New
Mexico. At the Regional Championship, every participant will be just 36-holes away from
advancing to the national championship at the Coushatta Resort in Kinder, Louisiana which will
be broadcast on Golf Channel.

Exemption Opportunities and information


Sun Country Junior Tour members will have a chance to compete in the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Regional Championship at Twin Warrior Golf Course on August 6th and 7th. Sun Country is working closely with Notah Begay and we have been given 24 exemptions to give out. The 24 exemptions will go towards tournament participation along with Player of the Year.

  • The top two year end point winners (13-15) and (16-18) and the top 3 year end point winners (7-9) and (10-12) will get an exemption into the Regional Qualifier.
  • The remaining 4 exemption spots will be awarded to the top finisher at the Stableford Championship who is not already exempt.

About the Notah Begay III Jr Golf National Championship:
The Notah Begay III Jr Golf National Championship Series (NB3 JGNC) is a 2-stage
qualifying process culminating in a 54-Hole National Championship that will air on Golf
Channel during a 2-hour broadcast that airs in December each year.  Players from across
the world will come together in Kinder, LA at the beautiful Koasati Pines Golf Club at
Coushatta Resort to compete against one another on a National Stage.
